Thank you for your interest in our breeding program. Please note that no puppies will be shipped. All puppies must be picked up in person by the new owners. The puppies will be ready to go home at the age of 8 weeks. The litter will be registered with the Boykin Spaniel Society® and AKC. Each pup will have an LP (limited privilege) attached to his or her registration and will be lifted once all criteria are met. Criteria will be outlined in the purchase agreement. Please note that we will require that the registered name of any puppy from our kennel to begin with Legacy or Legacy’s.

The puppies will be socialized and introduced to bird scents and water prior to leaving for their new homes. We will use this interview process to make sure potential buyers’ goals are aligned with ours and also as a tool for choosing the right pup for each new home. Our policy is to choose the best pup for each buyer. Since we will be around the puppies for 8 weeks, we are better able to choose the right pup for you based on your want and needs for your new companion.

1. Have you ever owned a Boykin Spaniel? If yes, please give further info such as current age if living, how long you had them, etc. If no, how did you hear about the breed?

2. What are your plans for the pup? Such as hunting companion, compete in field trials/hunt tests, agility, family pet. Please give as much detail as possible including training goals. Also indicate if you have plans of working towards title for your dog.

3. When, if ever, was the last time you had a puppy in your household?

4. Do you understand that the Boykin Spaniel breed was developed as a "companionable gun dog" and is therefore, high energy? Boykin Spaniel puppies require daily exercise, supervision and patience. Are you able to fulfill these obligations? (If so, you will end up with a wonderful companion both inside and outside your home!)

5. Where will the pup live? (Inside your home, kennel, etc)

6. How many family members live in your home? Please give the ages of any children living in the home.
